Saving ====== POLICENAUTS allows you to save up to four files to one Memory Card. In order to create your first save file, however, it requires three blocks of free space. This is because the game has an autosave feature that uses two blocks of space. The three additional save files that it allows only take up one block each. Autosave ======== The autosave feature automatically saves your game at frequent intervals as a backup measure. It can be loaded from the Continue menu at the title screen. Changing Discs ============== At the end of Disc 1 you will be prompted to exchange it for Disc 2. Before doing so, however, you are given a chance to save your game. You can either continue and exchange discs there, or turn off the power and load the game from Disc 2. You will begin Disc 2 from the same place either way. In-game Disc Icons ================== There are two icons that may appear in the corner of the screen in certain circumstances when playing the game off a disc. Watch Icon This is displayed when the system has problems reading the disc. If this occurs, you can continue playing and see if the problem stops, or return to the title screen, load the autosave file, and try again. Bomb Icon This is displayed when the system has had problems reading the disc for an extended period of time. If this occurs, quit the game and try again later. In both cases it is worth experimenting with other burn methods, as this is usually the source of the problem. When playing on a PlayStation or PlayStation 2, this may be a hardware issue.
